Ezekiel had been in the warmth of a fire down in the Romulus lair. He smelled the crackling fire's smoke. Fresh garbage. An awful smell, but trashed wood comes in handy. He and some other followers were cooking up some meat. This was goat meat he had stolen from the nearest family. He already fitted in. There were still a couple that looked at him strange, but he always set them straight. His eyes glistened and his hair flowed, a breeze in the sewers it seemed. A follower had signaled him to go out and look for more food. Ezekiel did this once he finished his meal. He and 2 other followers went out a secret passage away into the streets of Venice. The dark, dark night time was illuminated by the street lights. He had roamed the streets for several hours. The other two followers had drifted off, taking seperate paths to find food.

Ezekiel could tell there was a party going on on the otherside of the town. He obviously would be thrown out if spotted, maybe attacked. But parties usually contain feasts. So he proceeded to the party, taking the alley way to remain hidden. He pulled out a dagger and found a guard, covering his mouth and slicing his throat open. He dragged him into a bale of hay, and took his armor. There had been blood on the chest of the armor, but Ezekiel cleaned it off before it could dry. He proceeded to replace the guard for a while. Then, a group of guards asked him, a newbie, to make sure there were no casualties trying to transfer the food out in the open. When he got there, he would note that there were only three people. Noone was close enough to hear the screams. Ezekiel would throw two knifes at the two furthest people and would snap the neck of the closest person. Retrieving his knives, he made a howling sign to signal the followers. They would appear not long after and the food would be escorted through the alley and to the lair of romulus. They would use potato sacks to carry the food.

Although it wasn't so clean afterwards, the ones that didn't eat feasted upon the food. Ezekiel and the two who came with him were offered the rest of the scraps, and that added to be quite the feast as well. Whilst the followers were asleep, Ezekiel had escaped the lair to explore. He was back in his black robes and he had walked the night-time streets for a while, knowing the guards where concentrated on the party. He just roamed around...waiting for something interesting to happen.

Two bodies dropped from the skies before Ezekial, both bodies barely recognisable do to the amount of damage they recieved. Their faces were slashed in, the chest was wide open, and suddenly, the light ahead revealed a man sitting at a table, eating food and drinking a crimson fluid from a wine glass. He sat with his legs crossed femininely, his fork sticking into, what appeared to be a heart. He sliced through the heart, cutting off a small sliver and placed it into his mouth, chewing on it as if he were of nobility. This figure wore all black, silk clothing that was dyed black and covered in designs. He also wore a black and red cape with a hood attached to cover his face. A long dagger rested on his hip, and a fan sat on the table beside him. As he drank from the cup of crimson, the fluid left behind an obvious smudge, indicating that it was not the smooth wine of Italy, but perhaps... Blood? The man looked up at Ezekial, revealing his left crimson eye, and his right grey storm eye. He chuckled maniacally, yet lowly, and upon so, five men appeared from the skies, landing before Ezekial.

"You interrupted my party, Ezekial, and took the lives of three of my men. I've replaced their lives with two of your company, however, they still owed for poor Louis. So I ate them."

He laughed devilishly, finishing off the last slither of heart on his plate and throwing the last sip of blood into his throat. He then stood up from the table and unfolded his fan, waving it to cool himself off on this warm summer night. He stared at his foe and casually strolled forward, stopping inbetween his hired help. They were rogues that he had paid off to guard his party in which he invited high ranking Templars to attend. His goal? Kill them to signal the beginning of a new era. He removed his hood, showing off his long, groomed, black, flowing hair that stopped at his mid-back.

"Tell me, Ezekial, what are you doing here?"

Ezekiel had not been angry that the followers from before were killed and eaten, but about back at the galleon. At the mention of the party, he laughed. "You think I care for the lives of people I am forced to serve under? I have to live in a dump, the only place I have. Once I am a ghost for long enough, I can leave for Constantinople. Actually, I might be happy if you killed those lunatics." he said, clapping. He had a darkness in his eyes. The air became cold, revealing the breath exhaled out of the mouth. Ezekiel would moisten his lips and then he would start to pace. " Did you betray me back there? Or was it some scheme to obtain the apple? I am not sure. But I surely don't stand a chance against you now. Nor do I have a chance to join the templars. Infact, I am going to Constantinople to find out about my family history. I need to know if I chose the wrong side." he said. There would be a howling sound and Ezekiel would pull out his daggers out of reaction. This was not towards Tenchi, but towards the sound. He motioned Tenchi to pull out his weapons.

He wanted to tell him he is not allowed outside the lair unless he is with another follower, but it isn't important. Then, 3 of the Romulus followers would appear infront of the two, and then 3 behind. Animo would walk out of the alley way with two great axes.

" You violated the rules. And we are here to retrieve you. The 2nd time requires punishment. If you come back nicely, we won't kill you. " Animo said. Ezekiel would spit on the ground.
"I am not going back into that dump." he said, doing a roll behind two of the followers, slamming his daggers into them. 4 followers would drop from the roof tops. Ezekiel would pull out the daggers and would throw one at the last of the 3 followers he attacled and would retrieve that one as well. He would run up the wall, jumping backwards and landing on the side of the building, he would jump again behind Animo, attacking him. Animo would step forward and dodge, doing a spinning motion with the great axes. Since he did not signal the 4 followers from the rooftops, he accidently kills them. Ezekiel would do a back step and would signal Tenchi to attack the three behind him.

Romulus easily dodged Ezekial's attacks and twirled both of his battle axes in his hands, slashing through the air in a cross formation. He was angry with the young male for breaking their pact and decided that some form of punishment must be taken for his ignorance. Three of his men were killed because of his dodge, however, they were but sacraficial pawns to his survival. Although he cared very little about them, they were still people who entrusted their lives with him, which meant some form of revenge had to be taken for them. He turned his head towards Tenchi, who seemed hesitant about interfering, but returned his cold gaze towards the other rogue. His long, red hair lifted from his back as a warm breeze danced through the air, causing him to growl as he ran at his opponent, leaping over him with an aerial flip, and slashed at his shoulders. When he landed, he tried to cut at his ankles and limit his mobility, allowing for him to also bum rush his opponent with a lead upward, hoping to strike Ezekial in the back with his shoulder.

"You'll pay for your insolence!"

Seeing the battle unfold between the two warriors, Tenchi sighed slightly and simply waved his hand, sending his guards into the fray. They held off the lessers while Tenchi approached his two foes, Animo Romulus and Ezekial. He snapped his fan closed and drew spada da latto, placing his fan in the belt on his waist. After Romulus attempted to backrush Ezekial, Tenchi ran forward and slashed at the man's throat, however, if Ezekial would leap, he'd simply have his stomach cut a little. Any side movement was forbidden as well, for Tenchi swiped his blade as he struck it outward, all in an order to heavily damage Ezekial if he even thought about moving to the left or right, and cutting through his leg if he did a backflip. Regardless of the situation, the man would get hurt badly, or he'd die trying to escape.

"You'll have to pay me back for my dead soldiers first!"

He was pissed at Ezekial, but he would let him live... This time. He needed this man for a special job, however, if he failed in meeting his expectations, then he'd have to suffer at a heavy cost. Tenchi's soldiers had managed to kill the interfering lessers who followed Romulus, but they stayed out of the battle between the three, fierce warriors. They knew very well that their blades stood no chance against the other two.

Ezekiel would do a backwards cartwheel into the alleyway 2 times. He would pull out two throwing knives and would fake one through, and through one 2 inches off the ground, but still allowing it to glide to the ankle of Animo. The second throwing knife would be thrown towards towards his shoulder. Then, he would replace them and through one at Animo's heart, and the other at his stomach. Pulling out his daggers, he would swiftly rush forward, jump onto the wall to his left, and would wall jump onto a ledge. He would climb onto the rooftop and would start speaking. "Tenchi, you bastardo. Your going to allow the three that were behind you to live? And then you attack me? Blame that giant man for making me supply for these savages. In the lair, I am useless.

Out in the open, their numbers can be handled. "
he would rant. Ezekiel would jump to a platform extended off a building on the other side of the street. He would do so swiftly and would jump onto Animo's back, thrusting his daggers down into his neck. If this succeeds, he will handle Tenchi.

Tenchi would see his foe leap down from the building and try to leap onto Romulus' back, but he wasn't going to let the beast go down so easily. He quickly twirled his Spada da latto and leapt in the way, cutting off Ezekial's attack and knocking him back, nto allowing him to even come within seven feet with the red haired man. This character... could become useful. He glared at Ezekial and allowed the raging aura around him to create and warp the very ground they stood on. It was the piece of the apple that was causing Tenchi to glow with darkness, almost as if shadows were leaping from the ground to surround his body. His eyes glowed in the darkness as he slendered them and spoke in his phantasmic voice, which echoed throughout the streets and made people awake and scream, almost as if he had entered their nightmares.

"You betrayed me and sought to cause me even more trouble. Everywhere I turn, you are there to cause me strife. Now, I shall allow you to see how foolish you have been."

He streched out his left arm and pointed his fist at a home, however, nothing seemed to happen. It was upon that moment that he opened his palm and the entire house exploded, sending shrapnel flying everywhere. He chuckled evily and allowed the smoke and dust to clear from the area before he slowly began to approach Ezekial. He slashed his Spada da latto before him, and allowed a devilish grin to appear upon his face, bearing his white, shiny fangs.

"Today, the Heavenly Demons shall arise and consume Italia whole."

Twmplar guards began flooding to the scene, surrounding them from buildings and watching in fear as Tenchi approached the rogue. Things were getting very heated, and soon, hell would erupt all over Venice.

Romulus stared at the darkness, and quickly began looking around for his foe. He was ready to scale the building and attack his enemy, however, he heard a loud Cling!' behind his back and spun around. He saw the other Rogue, Tenchi, protect him from being attacked by Ezekial, which surprised him greatly. He wondered who this demonic figure was and why he would dare try to help him, but his mind went astray when he witnessed the shadows gather from the ground and surround the man, almost as if he were a demon summoning the dark forces of hell. It scared him deep down, however, he dared not show fear. Instead, he twirled his axes in the air and snatched them back into his hands when they came down. He was ready to charge the man, but after seeing him blow up the house, he simply swore in fear and stepped backwards. This was a battle that he would lose in a heartbeat, and he definately would not be able to survive, even if he managed to kill Ezekial.

"If you don't die here, then you're mine!"

He quickly ran into the shadows and vanished from sight, taking the scenic route along the roofs of Venice to head back to Nero's Golden Palace, his safe haven. The sight of the man was engraved in his mind as he now had a new foe who seemed to share the same destructive sight as the Templar scum. Then again, his visions could have been far worse than even the Borgia could create.

(Just saying, I never betrayed you.)

Ezekiel would not be hit by the house's shrapnel. It would scatter elsewhere and he would be left confused. " I never betrayed you. I never attacked you. You betrayed me and the Peasant. You went to bow to Diasollo. He had the apple. " he would say, explaining. Ezekiel would be in a defensive stance, not wanting to attack. He would stand normally, and would drop his daggers. He would look at the ground, turn, and walk away. His intention was to ride his Galleon to Roma. There he would be able to stay incognito. "I am done. If you want me to fight, I will fight. I am not going to die for nothing. If your ignorance is so high, then leave me be. If your wish is to kill me, then kill me. I am not looking for a fight." he would say, turning his head. Then, he would start walking.

Ezekiel was not going to try against the apple. He stood no chance. The battle would only lead to death. If only I had a piece...I could actually fight him... he thought. There was no heart in battle. He would make a good distance between the two, and would turn again. "I have to ask of this, how did I betray you?"

Tenchi couldn't believe that this man was walking away from him, scoffing at his words. Noone dared to turn their back to the Demon King, especially when he challenged them directly. He knelt downward, ready to dash at his enemy and finish him for good, however, the man stopped and turned around, practically pleading for an answer. He slendered his eyes and chuckled slightly, finding Ezekial's fighting spirit to be pathetic. He had considered asking the man to join him in destroying the Templars and conquering Italia, however, he had no use for someone who would give up at the sight of someone stronger. It was when one faced someone stronger than them that they truly tested their limits and seek to break them. This was the way to become stronger. To prove that there was no such thing as perfection. He suddenly spoke, his words amplified by the power of rage that coursed through his veins. It came out as a whisper, but suddenly turned to numerous whispers, as if large groups of people were whispering around them.

'Isn't it obvious? You killed my men, you labeled me as your enemy for going to Diasollo, rather than awaiting my actions, and you sought to attack me here as well. It is I who should be wlaking away from this battle with sorrow, my friend, not you."

He slowly raised his hands as a large number of Templar guards came charging at him, however, they were turned into a pool of blood as he caused the area to explode where they were. Tenchi was growing tired of this foolishness. He slowly walked towards Ezekial, his Spada da latto still in his hands, and spoke once more, bringing about the whispers of the dead.

"Fight me and all will be forgiven. Fight me and all shall be cleansed. Join me.... And perhaps you will live."

Ezekiel starting becoming angry from the accusations. "You told me you weren't going to help. He was already powering the apple, your lucky your alive. Plus, there is usually a party here in Venice a couple times a year. I was not informed they were your men, you cannot blame me for being forced to do something to obtain food for beings who have to fight to obtain food. Do you know how hard it is? Something like this might happen to another group of scavengers. Do not put the blame on me completely. And I am not to blame for what happened in Navarre! And when did I seek to attack you?" he would say, lowering his temper. He would then listen to his words. Ezerkiel became confused with his words, joining or fighting? " I wanted to stop fighting becuase if I die this early, I can't get revenge on the templars that had betrayed us. I want to kill all templars, my uncle, and I have other things I have to achieve. I will fight you, but I will not do my best. Do you know why? Because I can't die. I need to know and do things more important than this fight. Do you understand? There are just things on my list that are need-to-do's. We will simply spar, and if I do good, I will join. But you must let me do the things I need to do." he would say, trying to explain why he didn't want to fight. He retrieved his daggers, turned to him, and put on a battle-ready stance. He would await Tenchi's preparations.

It would not be fair if Tenchi couldn't prepare. So he sighed and began concentrating. The destroyed building had some climbable remains. And there were shrapnel light enough to be thrown. He took in his surroudings for this match. He disliked Tenchi, for his condensecending attitude was displeasing and had annoyed him.

[Assuming you're still a Templar, as you said, there's really no need to elect a rogue leader, so...]

Tenchi was about ready to challenge Ezekial when a black arrow pierced the skies and landed in the ground before him. When he looked to the roofs to see where it came from, there was nothing there. It must have been an assassin trying to either send a message or make a point to Tenchi. He knelt down and pickd up the arrow, finding a small letter attached to it. He pulled the red string from the letter and read its contents, his eyes slendering at the sight. He sighed lightly and brushed a long strand of hair from his face. The darkness around him sunk back into the ground and his voice returned to its single whisper as he prepared to do something that noone was expecting.

"It appears that you are no longer of value to me... Ezekial. There shall not be a next time."

The young demon quickly ran intot he crowds of civillians upon the arrival of the Templars, allowing him to blend in with the people and make a quick escape through the shadows. He was gone, just like that, and noone was going to stop him.

[I am not still a templar. I don't remember saying that I am a templar.]

Ezekiel saw the templars, and vanished into the alleyways. He did not understand why Tenchi changed his mind, but it was not important right now. All he knew was that there was noone else to rule the Rogues. So he set forth to the docks in order to climb aboard his galleon. Ezekiel set forth to Roma, to control Rogues. He was going to become a leader. The rogues needing someone and he was the last one remaining willing to control the outcasts. He had readied the galleon himself, and set sail. The docks were not far from his location anyways. Hearing the howls of the night, he knew those were not the last of the followers, for there were more in Roma. Although, obviously, Animo was not in Roma. That concludes this contract.
