Ladislao was walking through the steets when he stopped and found the man he was looking for. He walked over his legs shaking, this was his first task assigned to him from the assassins. It would be interesting for sure. He slowly made his way over to the priest and put his hand on his shoulder but kept him from turning to face Ladislao.

"I have... questions."

"Ah, good afternoon." Spoke the priest that Ladislao had grabbed the shoulder of. The light breeze of the morning winds whipped against his cape and hair, allowing them to levitate very slightly. This also caused the sand at the priest's feet to whop up and form a small cloud of sand which blew away within seconds.
"You must be who I sent for, are you not?"

Ladislao took a deep breath and said calmly and darkly.

"I am. I must ask, how do I know you're not lying?" He felt his grip loosen and his legs stopped shaking. His teeth were bit down and his fist were clenched. He was no longer worried he was ready to kill the first thing that gave me a wrong look.

"Lying?" The priest raised an eyebrow, still facing away from the Assassin. "Why would I be lying? I merely asked you Assassins for a favour. You don't have to take it, of course."
The priest then stepped forward slightly, moving just out of arm's reach. "His name is not one you need to know, but his appearance is distinctive. He does not commit to the vows of poverty, nor does he follow anything of his faith. He is not a real priest." He frowned. "North of this square, you may find him preaching and spending any donated money on..."
He almost spat the next word out.
"....brothels."

Ladislao felt his fist clench. He gritted his teeth and he readied his legs to leave. He stopped and looked at the man and said comfortingly.

"He will face justice." He looked at him and added.

"Brothels are not bad, but they're not what we spend our religiuos money on. He felt his fist tighten with anger and he disappeared without a trace.

Watching the young man in the white robe and the priest from the bell tower of the church, Blake marked Ladislao for his good use of concealment. By not allowing the priest to see his face he has kept loose ends to a minimum. It would be unfortunate if eventually the priest told the Templars that Max was a member of the Assassin's and then have to be dealt with.
"Well, time to go." Blake said to himself as he saw Ladislao walk away. He stood up from his crouched position, took one step into empty air, and proceded to fall backwards. To a passerby it would look as if an appirition in black and red fell from a rooftop....then disappeared into thin air.
Exiting the hay bail that he had fallen into, Blake brushed off the stray hay that clung to his custom black and red Assassin's robes. He then headed off in the direction that Max went. He had been assigned as the Evaluator of Ladislao Amelio Da Roma very assassination contract. His job is to discreetly watch Ladislao as he kills this corrupt priest. He is not to get invloved unless absolutely necessary.

(Hey guys! Shadow231 here NPCing at Lost's request until he logs on Fridayish using the Staff owned NPC profile. Have fun McBCD! Smile)

"Il Diavolo!" Cried the priest under his breath, crossing himself as he saw a black and red cloaked figure jump from his very church's bell tower. Suddenly that same figure climbed out of a nearby haybail and started walking off in the direction that the Assassin had just gone. Then, just as suddenly, the mysterious cloaked figure dissapeared into the crowded Roman streets, amazing since his clothing was so distinctive.

Ladislao walked through the crowd when he focused. He saw that a man over by a tavern was hiding a dagger. He saw that a courtesan was hiding a pistola in her skirt. He saw the priest, he knew it must have been him as he saw him walk into the brothel. He followed behind slowly, he had to find another way in. He scaled to a top window and saw a man in bed with a courtesan. He silently entered as if he wasn't there and he left the room and saw the man come in handing the money and in exchange took three courtesans. He dropped down behind the old fool. He tried to stay unseen, too late one of the customers of the brothel cried out.

"Assassino!"

A coutesan was just about to seduce a rich looking guard captain who had brought his squad with him for a short little vacation when he suddenly looked up and saw a mysterious figure in a white robe and yellow/green cape. His suspictions raised, the Captain looked closer and saw the Assassin's insignia on the figure's arm guard. Recognizing the symbol he instantley shouted, "Assassino!." As soon as their Captain said this the other four members of the squad immediatly looked in the direction that he was pointing and scrambled to restrap on the rest of their armor. Getting as much on as they could, the five guards drew their various swords and maces and advanced on the brightly colored Assassin. They spread themselves out so that the man was pressed against a wall with no escape except through them. Unfortunatley for the Assassin, these men had earned their time in the brothel by practicing their combat skills for the past week so they were in no way easy kills. In the meantime, the courtesans had all retreated to further into the brothel and the rest of the customers were either trying to leave as fast as possible or were sitting to watch this new development, content in their knowlege that, "Surely one man cannot possibly defeat five City Guards alone?"

Unknown to the guards, the corrupt priest had exited the room that he had gone with the three working girls at the sound of the shouting and screaming. Now he had seen the 5v1 fight and heard the guards calling him an Assassin and was already heading across the large lobby towards the crowded exit. If he gets too far then the Priest may escape this young Assassin. Yet these five guards were standing in his way and would surely do anything that they could to stop him from leaving except for in a body bag. What will this Assassin do?

Blake was currently on the rooftop directly across from the Fiore di Fantasia Brothel that was across the Town Square when he heard the screaming and could barlely make out the word "Assassino" in all of the commotion.

"Fuck." Blake said to himself. "He only entered the Brothel a mere three minutes ago. Plus one for the stealthy enterance, but minus two for his quick discovery." He then focused and activated his Eagle Vision looking to see if the target had heard the shouting and left the building yet. "There he is. Good he is stuck at the back of the crowd all trying to force their way through the door all at the same time." Blake said to himself as he found the glowing gold outlined figure in robes of the church. But he also had noticed the five glowing red guards that had surrounded the light blue figure of Ladislao. He was torn, on one hand, he could not allow the new Assassin Recruit to be killed but he also could not allow the Bogia for protection if he suspects that the Assassin was there for him. Blake finally decided that he would go into the Brothel through the large crowd and decide which of those things he would accomplish once he got there.

Who knows? Mabye Ladislao would manage to kill/escape the guards and take care of the Priest before he even got there.

Ladislao smiled as they shouted at him. He saw the guards get prepared as fast as they could and they drew their swords. Ladislao looked around and waited, armed with noting. Not even a hidden blade. He waited, feeling arrogant, he crouched into a battle stance. He saw a guard shift his foot and then everything seemed to move in slow motion. The guard slowly raised his arm to swipe at Ladislao and Ladislao quickly pressed his own arm up against the arm with the sword then he delivered five quick jabs to the rib cage of the guard and smiled as he fell down in pain.

Ladislao backflipped as he saw another sword swing at him from the front. He ducked down and grabbed the sword and shoved it into it's holders chest. He felt himself breath hard and he felt nervous. He had a sick feeling, he had just killed his first person. He stopped short as a blade almost got him in the shoulder. He ducked down and picked up the dead guards sword and shoved it into the arm of the current guard and he watched painfully as he saw his arm stuck into the wall.

Ladislao watched as he was unaware that a giant hammer was on it's way to his head. He turned around and again everything felt like it was going in slow motion. He grabbed the hammer and winced as he wrist popped various times. He pulled the hammer out of the guards hand but was not able to loose his grip. He was pulled back in and he was punched in the face. He rolled sideways and avoided getting his head smashed.

He jumped up and grabbed a piece of glass and chucked it at the guard. he was angered as it missed the guard. He felt his legs stammer as he watched around him. He saw the he stuck to the floor. He watched out of the corner of his eye as the guard pulled the sword painstakingly out of his arm. He stood up and chucked the sword at Ladislao. Ladislao dodged it just in time but he grabbed his cheek as the blood flowed out. He wiped it away and started after the priest deciding that these guards were mere toys.

He stopped as he felt the wind rush past him and a rock and shards of glass made their way past him. He saw the priest decide to try and disappear into the crowd. That wouldn't work on Ladislao, of course he'd have to kill off these guards first. He looked at the last three guards. One hadn't fought at all yet and would be a pain to take down, the next one was tired and out of breath, finally the last one was covered in his blood. He was the weakest and the point of attack Ladislao would take.

Ladislao rushed at him and then pulled his sword out of his arm easily and then he shoved it into this stomach. He felt his legs shake and again he had that feeling. He felt shaky and not very arrogant anymore. He felt his legs give way from under him this wasn't good. He saw a hammer about to slam down on his head again. He rolled out of the way and then he kicked up the hammer with all his might.

He saw it fly up and the sharp blade on the end make it's way into the guards head. He fell to the ground as blood poured from his head. Ladislao didn't have that shaky feeling this time. Instead he made his way to the last guard and punched him in the face. The guard rebuked with a kick to Ladislao's shin. Ladislao gripped it and then he grabbed the next incoming kick and threw up the guard who fell to the ground. He gripped the glass and stabbed him and he stood up and looked at the crowd.

He had felt more accustomed to the kills. He looked at the crowd and remembered the priest. His job isn't finished yet he still has much not finished. He remembered what his teacher had told him about how to look through what the natural eye could see. You must see what is beyond the barrier of sight. He saw the flash and saw the Priest clearly through the crowd and he started to make his way out the door of the brothel and made his way towards the priest who then...

(I also apologize for kinda going off on you. And yes it is in the past. Great post by the way. Next time try to make your posts in smaller segments because the NPC or LostLegend has to be the npcs. But no biggy just something to think about.)

Guard #1, who was equiped with a common sword, raised his arm to make a killing blow at the Assassin. He yelled out in surprise when the Assassin grabbed his sword arm and procceded to make five quick, but powerful jabs into his lower rib cage. He immediatley dropped to the floor with a cry of agony and curled up in a fetal position to nurse his injured ribs. He was goona be there for a while.

Seeing Guard #1 go down in a matter of seconds, Guard #2 decided to try his luck by making a horizontal swing with his sword aimed at the Assassino's exposed neck. Unfortunately, his plan failed as the Assassin backfliped just in time so that the sword swung mere centimeters below his head and feet. This is one acrobatic enemy. The guard thought to himself. That might have been his last thought on this Earth because almost as soon as he finished it the Assassino finished his backflip. The assassin landed as easily as a cat and immediatly grabbed the Guard's wrist that held his sword. Not giving him time to resist, the Assassin swung the sword up and over the Guards spearing him on his own sword through the back. Unfortunately, the Assassin just barely avoided a vertical sword slash from Guard #3. Then, before the Guard could react, the Assassino picked up one of the swords from the dead guards and stabbed it into the sword arm of the new attacker.

Seeing three of his friends killed or injured within seconds of engaging the Assassino, Guard #4 decided to get in a cheap shot with his large hammer and swung it straight down at his head. He was very surprised when the Assassin stopped the downward stroke of his hammer by grabbing the shaft of his weapon. Seeing what happened to Guard #2 he knew that the Assassino would attempt to use his own weapon against him. He wouldn't allow it, so he let go of the hammer with his left hand and procceded to punch the other man in the face causing him to roll to avoid the Guards follow up hammer smash.

Guard #4 jerked out of the way as the Assassin threw a piece of sharp glass at him, missing wide and to the left. At the same time, Guard #3 was removing the sword that was stuck in his arm. Once he had removed this sword he threw it at the Assassin in anger. But he was ready and neatly stepped out of the path of the sword that was spinning through the air. The Assassin then started to walk away into the crowd.

All of a sudden the Assassino turned back to face the three remaining guards. He saw that one was severly injured and almost in shock, one was exhausted from swinging his giant hammer around, and the last one was the Guard Captain who had yet to engage. He suddenly ran at the weakest link, the guard who was bleeding out. Picking up a sword on the ground without breaking stride, the Assassin stabbed the defensless guard in the chest, thrusting the sword all the way to the crosspiece.

As he drew the sword out of the dead guard, the Assassin saw the giant hammer once again go for a quick cheap attack on his head. The guard who had swung the hammer suddenly let out the scream of a dying man as the Assassin's sword tip lunged into his skull letting loose a torent of blood from the wound. He was dead before he hit the ground.

The Guard Captain thought about running away after seeing all four of his crack soldiers defeated with what appeared to be an ease born of years of constant battle. He almost immediatley dismissed the idea as the Assassino calmly walked up to him and let loose a strong right cross punch into the Captain's face. He responded with a kick to the Assassin's shin. The Captain tried to press his advantage by following up with another kick to the other shin. The Assassin was ready though, and as soon as the kick was on the way he grabbed the Captain's foot and flipped it up, sending him flat on his back. The Captain was just about to get up when he felt a sharp pain enter his chest. He looked down and saw the Assassino kneeling on top of him with a piece of glass in his right hand that was just now leaving the Captains body...stained red.

The priest saw all of this and started running away with renewed vigor. He was now truly terrified of this young Assassin who had defeated five trained guards with apparent ease. He did not know where he was running nor does he care. All the priest cared about was getting away from his impending death.

Ladislao rushed through and pushed the crowd out of his way. He felt his legs shake with excitement. He felt it, he could feel it flow through him, he had heard of it from the other assassins but never experienced it. The thrill of the hunt, this would make his chase much more exciting.

Max lay there in his animus as he felt his head begin to swirl. Everything he saw was unclear and he felt sick. After he finished this memory he'd need to get out of here and take a break. It may just be because of him being new or something, he didn't know.

Ladislao ran through the crowd as he watched his target flee. In terror too, that's how he liked it! He ran untill he was stopped by more guards and he felt like a fool. It just figured that he'd be caught, he wasn't too carefull. He took note there were only two guards, which must mean that they're more somewhere, maybe he could use this to his advantage.

He let them chase him as he chased his target. He was right, there were at least five more guards surrounding a church. Those guards hadn't attacked him only because of him being an assassin, they were protecting this priest which meant that he had contributed something to them.

He knew he was correct more so as he watched the priest say something to the guards and then he ran inside as the guards came charging after Ladislao. Ladislao had just got done fighting and was now ready to move on to more important matters. He decided to let the guards do the honors as he swooped to the side and watched as the swinging guard had just decapitated the guard that had been behind him.

That meant only six left and he was sure that having them all kill themselves would be easy work. He stopped as he saw archers on the roof all point their arrows at him. He stopped and relized the situation, he had been bested. He thought for a moment then surrendered, he was aware that this may not happed the way he hoped.

OOC: Is it cool if we go over the word limit a bit? Then again I'm not sure if I even made it so I just wanted you to post and see if I can't spice this thing up a litte more eh?

Nope, going over the word limit is allowed. It is even encouraged. It really isn't a limit its just a word count. You can meet or go over the word count you just shouldn't go under it.

"Damn it." Blake said as he saw the corrupt priest suddenly turn to the East, sprinting in terror from something. He turned around quickly to see what that thing was. He smiled as he saw Ladislao come walking out of the brothel, covered in another's blood. Content that the new Assassin was going to be fine, Blake turned to run after the target. The priest was making a bee line for his church. Knowing the area well Blake decided to spend time climbing up the 2-story building at the end of the square. This would take up precious time but give him the ability to hop rooftops when required. As Blake got to the top he saw an archer about 5 meters away from him walking in the opposite direction. Too bad for this guard that he directly between Blake and the priest. Running towards the archer Blake unsheathed his small dagger, named Blood Wolf, and held it in a reverse grip. When he was about 2 meters away he made a short, sharp whistle. The guard instantly started to turn around. Almost at the same time Blake ran half a step past the archer, spun around without breaking his stride, and brought his dagger up in a horizontal strike at the other's neck. The archer's neck exploded in blood from his neck artery but Blake didn't even notice as he had alreay spun around. And once more, he was sprinting across the rooftops in pursuit of the Templar influenced priest. The incident had taken a mere 2-3 seconds but had lefy a guard dead on the ground and the way clear for the experienced Assassin.

Ladislao waited as he heard the order to have the archers all shoot him at once. He waited and then he saw his chance as the arrows started to fly he threw his arms back and spun around the guard behind him. He smiled as he took the impact of the arrows but let go of the body as an arrow impaled through him and almost got Ladislao. Ladislao knew he had precious time as they reloaded he avoided the templars and then grabbed his next human sheild. He again dropped it quickly and flipped over to his next victim and punched him in the head and watched as he dropped unconscious. Another arrow was coming and it grazed his right arm. He stopped momentarily and then kicked the feet out from under the last guard and preceeded away from the archers by moving closer to the building. He waited then saw as a great amount of soldiers, 15 to be exact all ran at him at top speed. They all had war hammer to his excitement they all started swinging and he jumped out and smiled as the started putting in many holes in the door till it was but a mere kick to the ground. He ran through group shoving everyone to the ground as he skillfully rolled over the back of one guard and they both went down as Ladislao burst through the wooden door he made his way to the priest...

The captain of the archers surrounding the Assassin granted himsef a satisfied smirk. Here he was about to end the life of this troubesome Assassino who had led a rampage of death through the streets of this fine city. Now was the moment to end it. To his men he said, "Ready arrows! Aim at the bastardo Assassino! Fire!" His face then brightened in a wide smile.....and then gave a cry of surprise with a frown when he saw the Assassin grab one of the city guards and swing behind him. "Reload! Reload!" Then, after a couple of seconds, the archer captain again shouted, "Ready arrows, aim, fire!" But his hopes were dashed again as the Assassin just switched to another human shield. This happened two more times before the Templar reinforcements arraived. They came through the street screaming and waving their war hammers swinging wildly through the air. They were like a flash flood. All encompassing and terrifying. But once again the Assassino was able to not only come out unscathed, but also managed to use the hammers to knock down a door that led towards the corrupt priest who was still on his wild run of terror.

Ladislao ran through the doors as he laughed at the fumbling guards. He felt his heart stop as something stung his shoulder. He turned and saw an archer smiling, it was as if everything stopped. He looked to his shoulder and saw an arrow leaking with blood from his arrow. He grabbed it and slowly and painstakingly pulled it from his shoulder, he broke it and then pulled it out with a single tug.

He grabbed his shoulder as blood leaked from to his hand. It dripped to the floor and the puddle grew and the stained the floor. He felt a grab from behind, he quickly turned and kicked the guard in the head. Then he saw, at the moment what was the worse day of his life. The room was full of guards, there were maybe thirty of them. Ladislao had no way of fighting back when he only has one arm. An arrow wizzed past his head and to his fortune hit another guard in the stomach.

He ran over to the priest who was surrounded by the guards who were all waving their weapons at him. One of them approached him with his weapon sheathed but he was ready to swipe. "Just give up and we'll make sure you're punishment is as painless as possible." He saw a swift movement of the guards hand and he siderolled as he saw a warhammer split the guard's head open. He had been leading him into a trap!

He head to kill the priest and get away right now! He saw a chain, it was connected to a a chandelier the size of the room. He let go of his arm and jumped on the chain. He felt a burning sensation in his shoulder but ignored it as he swung from the chain he saw a ledge up at the top near the ceiling. It was above the chandelier perfect escape.

He was now atop the chandelier and made his way over to the center chain, he took note that the rest of the chandelier was held with thin rope. He unhooked the chain and then he ran as quick as he could and jumped on the ledge as the chandelier fell to the ground. He heard screams of pain and many men dead under the giant lighting decoration.

He dropped down and made his way over to the dieing priest. He closed his eyes, "Requescat en Pace."

Blake had been watching the new Assassin by the name of Ladislao complete his acrobatic act with the chadelier from the shadows, ready to lend his assistance if things got out of control. As half of the guards in the room were crushed by the chandelier and the others screamed and ran in terror, Blake began clapping. He walked casually towards Ladislao, still clapping, who was just getting up from the dead priest. As he got closer, he ceased his clapping and said to the younger Assassino, "Good work. I was watching you the whole time and I must say I applaud your efforts. Your form and discretion could use some work, but altogethor, you did very well for your first assaignment. Here, take your Hidden Blade and fully join our order of Assassins." Blake then hands over a hidden blade to Ladislao. He slaps the younger Assassin on the back and guides him towards the door.
