Contract 6: Bonfire of the Vanities

An impatient Templar guard was waiting in the square for Ayane, ready to start the burning of who they called 'wrongdoers' in order to re-establish the rule of the Templars over Rome. He tapped his foot, leaning against a wall. While he did this, he observed other Templar lackeys moving large wooden logs and small sticks around on carts, much to the horror of any nearby citizens who looked on.
"She shouldn't take her time like this." He muttered, turning to meet the Templar who was almost killed in the Sewers. His battle scars were still visible and his shoulder wound still hadn't healed.
"They know what we're doing now, but only us two know the locations of these bonfires. I pray it goes well, and we should not have too much interference."
"Indeed!" Replied the guard.

Alex looked at the lady before he got in the animus, "Everything is ok." The Lady said to Alex. Alex got in and before then heard a whirring sound."

Amo was getting dressed, into his Águila Roja costume. He out it on and in secret compartments his knives. He took his hidden blade and then went out.
Amo dropped down from the roof top, in his signature, one knee on the ground, one knee kneeling, and fist in the ground.

Amo held his staff, and then looked at the Templars. "This person was falsley accused, let them go." Amo told them.

"Ah! An Assassino!" The Guard gasped, drawing his sword with a dragging, metallic sound. The Templar next to him also did the same.
"He looks like one of those people who almost killed me in the sewers. What's up with this bunch of Japanese people?" He joked, trying to lighten the mood of a situation where he could almost be killed again.
"I don't know, but we should protect the Bonfires of the Vanities." The guard spoke before hearing Amo's statement. "Actually, to us, they have performed wrongdoing. You aren't getting their locations from us anytime soon." He poised himself to defend while the Templar raised his sword and thrust forward to attack.

Amo smiled, "Sadly I'm not japanesse, hijo puta, I'm Spanish." He said in a way Batman would cover his voice. Amo used his staff and blocked the hit, then aimed for a roundhouse kick to the Templars face.
"I'm the Águila Roja."

"Someone needs to research their nationalities." The guard replied to the Templar as Amo said he was Spanish.
The hit by the Templar was blocked by a well-placed object before Amo tried a roundhouse kick. At this, the guard dashed in with his sword to intercept the blow and hopefully cutting Amo's leg off. At the same time, the Templar ducked and leapt backward.

Ayane arrived in one of the bonfires, so far she was impressed by the number of guards posted around each bonfire, it seems whoever is pulling the strings here have very long strings. She chuckled as she stood by one of them to make sure everything was okay; then she would go to the next location and then the next, rotating each bonfire to make sure that everything was as it should be.

Guards working for the Templars were busy setting up all the sticks and stones that would be needed to light the bonfires. The prisoners were forcefully pushed to the ground and restrained at each location if they tried to escape. Eventally, they were all able to be tied up to a large stake in the middle of a huge log pile.
"When shall we light these?" A guard holding a flaming torch asked. The person he was asking was observing the sun's positioning in the sky for the exact moment.
"In a few seconds." The guard replied.

Cesare patrolled the surrounding area of the North-East Bonfire of Rome. He cursed himself for not having brought a mask, but that would have to wait. He wasn't in much danger of being immediately recognised due to the cloak around himself and if all else failed, he could just say he was a brother of Cesare or somesuch.

Cesare's dagger sheathed, he rested a hand upon its handle and observed the Templar lackeys setting up the bonfire. He had managed to count hinself out of this work due to his health. He still had to build it up again.
"So, it looks like they meet their fates in a few seconds. Or minutes." Cesare chuckled, seeing the hapless citizen be tied up to the stake in the middle of a large stack of wood.
"You beasts!! I'll have you for this!" The female citizen shouted out in his general direction.
"Yeah, right..."

Goken arrived quickly to the area, following the people who were praying by blending in, "Templars..." goken whispered to himself as he saw what was going on, goken saw a Templar in a alley, goken walked up to the templar, since goken was thirteen it wouldnt seem weird for goken to walk up to a templar, "Hello..." Goken said as he looked up at the Templar and hugged him, letting out the hidden blade to his heart, in this area no one could see anything ,Goken then forced the body into a hay basket, getting rid of the body Goken ran up to a watch tower and grabbed onto one of the guarded windows near the bottom, vines were slowly growing to the right of the window, so goken grabbed the vine and climbed up, using small pillars to climb higher, once goken was near the top, goken peeked up seeing a Templar standing guard unaware of a person climbing, the watch tower had sheets over the sides, so if Goken assassinated him no one would see, Goken went over the edge silently and got near the templars neck on one of the edges, Goken then slit his neck while the templar slashed a sword to Gokens arm, cutting my assasins robe, he layed there dead

Amo instinct came up, as the guard went for his foot, Amo turned and slid, kicking the guard into the carts. Amo used his hidden blade to take the person off the cart and then jumped onto a roof with the person and said, "Hide."

Amo jumped back down, Amo didn't take the risk of grabbing the man or the person could have a hidden blade so instead he lit the cart on fire and burned the guard alive.
Then looking back at the templar. "Tell me where the other bonfires are." Amo didn't have the time, Amo went and stabbed the Templar and ran away.

He climbed into the watchtower. He looked out for more bonfires.

The guard was forcefully kicked into the carts, leaving the other Tenplar standing. As this occured, the wood in the cart cracked and splintered, trapping the guard. The driver gasped when Amo boarded the vehicle, trying to fight him off. However, he was quickly dispactched. The male citizen who was rescued from the cart barely had time to utter his thanks before Amo ushered him upon a roof and moved back to the cart.

The Templar who was observing the burning of the cart with a horrified expression fixed his gaze on Amo. He was asked about the bonfire locations.
"You're asking the wrong person!" He evilly chuckled - just before he was stabbed in the stomach. He yelled and doubled over in pain but not all was lost - the Assassin had left without ensuring he was dead. Using this moment, other guards surrounded the Templar, picked him up and took him away.

In the other nine locations including where Cesare stood, the commanders of the Bonfites raised their hands, showing the signal for the flame to be dropped on the wood.
The bonfires had begun.

"Joder!" Amo yelled as he saw smoke from Locations. He suddenly saw Goken one of the assasins. "Macho, help me. You get some."

Amo jumped down and landed in a hay stack, then ran and got to one. As he saw one templar had raised his hand for the bonfire begining, Amo cut it off and kicked the man into the fire, Amo put his cape over himself and ran into the fire, Amo had thought about it, if he lost one person the world would have one less person in the future.

Amo cut the man loose. "OH GOD HELP!" THe man yelled. Amo grabbed the man, and as the Templars looked all they saw was a read feather slowly flying down. They looked at it, and her a suzzle sound, the fire had set the flammable feather into fire and made it blow up.

Amo took the man into the watch tower and went back.

Ayane was,however, at the bonfire where the Assassins were, "Great...Shinobis" she muttered to herself calling Assassins Shinobis since they were the same thing. She drew her katana and stopped both Assassins in their track, "where do you think you're going?" she asked in Italian as more guards backed her up ready to take them down or capture them alive.

".....Umm...." Goken said as he saw the woman named ayane, Goken ran back into an alley and started climbing a wall, getting to the top of it and shimmying up to jump to a building on the other side, Goken saw one of the other bonfires about to be lit currently, goken then ran forward and jumped onto the mans head stopping him from lightning the fire, goken then slit his neck, he then climbed up a pole, Goken was very good at acrobatics which would help with dodging, he also tried once to do a handstand on a blade...and it didn't go well he couldve done it if the person wielding the blade was strong enough, Goken got to the top and headed to another bonfire spot, checking if the one with a katana was near

Amo smiled as the person put the sword infront of him on spoke in Italian, he saw the person was Japanesse when his good hearing had let him hear the girl was saying Shinobi.

"Well." Amo said and backflipped his hard boots kicking the katana. Then guard running at him.
One kicked in the face
Two slashed in the stomach
Three cut off head

And then Amo stopped to run and dodgem he cut off of the man who was being burned and escaped with him.

"Show me your secrets my ancestor, as our future is in trouble, and we need help from your memories. The Templars called me a dirty blooded kid where that blood comes from I find later. So please my ancestor help me, I need to know what you know, find what you had found." He said in a silent prayer, to his ancestor; then the machine whirred to life.

Fritz had just arrived on scene; he was clothed in his whitish gray hooded cloak, with a black mask covering the lower portion of his face. He observed the situation only to see something that fed him a little bit of panic. He seen smoke coming from various locations. “Nicht gut! Not good! I have to hurry but where do I start?” Fritz said to himself moving into the mission area. He seen a child with a white cloak on the run from one area of smoke to another. "Attentäter? That child he seems quite young to be an assassin. No matter, time is of the essence I have to hurry!” He said to himself once more moving forward, seeing a guard hiding around the corner. He rushed forward causing the guard to turn to see him, as he drove his long dagger into the guard's gut. Then grabbing his neck with his other hand, activating the hidden blade driving it into his throat. The guard fell backwards into the sight of the young assassin who was on the rooftop. Their robes were slightly different; his a grayish white color, the young assassin's a pure white. He removed his blades from the guard's stomach, and throat; then he ran for the next closest bonfire. “We have to hurry, schnell! The Templars might light the fire closer, to the citizens. I will distract the guards, you free the citizens before they burn!” He shouted at the young assassin before he clashed with another guard.

The guards at each of the bonfires that the Assassins were attacking drew their swords, intercepting their white-robed attackers. They called out, enlisting the help of the Templars against these people.

As Amo had escaped with the other, Amo had ran running out of energy and jumped over a bridge leaving just a normal red eagle feather, "Mira me, hijo de putas, soy Águila Roja, i soy el mejor!" Amo screamed.

He had ran to the young assassins and to the other one, "¿Eres de Alemania? Are you from Germany?" Amo asked but didn't have time." "Vamonos, come on!" Amo yelled.

Finding another bonfire, Amo quickly knocked out guards and as more guards came Amo had to run with the lady who had said, "I'll get you for this." To the male templar, that was a good thing that Amo was as quick as a cat.

Ayane cursed, "Damn it!" she yelled when she realised that the Assassins had eluded her, she growled and got on her horse and went to the nearest bonfire hoping to catch up to those assassins before they could reach it and release the prisoners.

Upon the seven remaining bonfires, the flames climbed ever higher and higher and the robes of many of the prisoners had started to catch fire. If any more were to be rescued, they would probably have to be showered in water or rolled on the ground to douse the flames.
"I hear more Assassins are coming!" Spoke a guard over the confused mass of noise that enaminated from the streets. This was the signal for them to draw their swords and intercept whoever was coming their way. Templars would of course be let in.

Upon the rooftops, archers readied their bows and arrows, pulling back on the strings. They had not yet upgraded to crossbows, but arrows were just as deadly as a bolt.

Ayane managed to arrive before the Assassins did, "Prepare yourself men...the Assassins will not be kind and merciful to you...so do not be kind and merciful to them in return" then she told one of the men, "put more wood and oil on that bonfire, make those people burn faster, then the Assassins will see that all attempts will be futile."

The men heeded her request, throwing more thin, wooden sticks from transport carts as well as oil onto the bonfires. It would be a few seconds to a minute before these took effect across the whole fire though.

Cesare was alerted by the cry of the presence of Assassins. He pulled his concealed dagger out of his robe, placing it into the palm of his hand, turning his back on the bonfire. He faced the street ahead of him.
"The Assassins are going to get it someday for trying to kill me. It's their turn to die now!" He muttered under his breath with a well-placed Italian curse word. He stepped over to the shadows in an alleyway and awaited his opportunity, for when an Assassin came over into his view.
